******* MEDIA ALERT *******

WHAT: American Clay Enterprises will host a press conference about their energy savings experiment, at the GREENBUILD International Conference & Expo. The reasons, the procedure, the science used and the results-to-date will be presented, with handouts, by American Clay CEO and co-Founder Croft Elsaesser. Last year at Greenbuild 2008, American Clay launched a yearlong experiment whereby they created multiple testing units to gather information about the energy savings, and therefore potential monetary savings, which customers of American Clay have reported in their remodeled homes.
They have also just launched a foray into China, and will discuss that as well.
The first U.S. based, U.S. made earth plaster finish, American Clay has the lowest carbon footprint per pound of any commercially produced wall finish.

WHY: Award-winning and newly patented American Clay–model of a ‘new economy’ green business in mission, product and business issues– produces the all natural, healthy, and beautiful, interior plaster finish for walls/ceilings. The plaster is non-flammable, gives additional masonry mass in rooms, resists mold growth (tested and proven), absorbs sound, and repairs/cleans easily. Why would you want to drag a hug bag of plaster around when you can purchase other plaster materials that have been around for a long time and have lasted a long time as well. These products ( American Clay) are for DIY’s who haven’t clue on how to apply plaster products. AC is usually in a green store and the applicators are folks who have for the most part, held a trowel in their hands.

And have you tried American Clay. I think you may wish to speak with some of the master professional applicators across the country, and world, and why they prefer it to other options first.

So your condemning American Clay because it comes in a “big bag”?

how big is the bag of the other plaster materials you use ?…..to me at least 50 lbs of material is 50lbs of material..true?

I think you meant to say >> never held a trowel in there hand< <

American Clay markets to the homeowner…smart if you ask me,most people do not want to pay for a proffesional applicator….so be it..live with it.

That being said,I have to ask the question why is a painting company worried about plaster in the first place, plaster never was and never should of been put in a painters hand, lime , clay or otherwise.

I myself could look at you as a painter as you are looking at homeowners and say " and the painters are folks who have for the most part, never held a trowel in their hands"

sounds to me as though you just got beat on a bid for a wall finish and are disgruntled at the fact that any idiot including yourself can pick up a trowel.
your above statment I must say is one of the dumbest I have ever seen in regards to plastering.
